Fantasy Impact
The veteran has three straight double-digit scoring games and continues to play solid minutes as a backup big man. If you need a handful of points and rebounds with solid percentages Bass is worth a look.
PF Brandon Bass has agreed to terms with the Lakers.
Fantasy Impact
Bass averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds last season, in what was his second consecutive 82-game season. In fact, Bass has only missed one game the last three seasons. He can certainly hold his own at power forward behind Julius Randle, making UFAs Jordan Hill and Carlos Boozer no longer needed.
Brandon Bass finished with four points, three rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes against the Cavaliers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Brandon Bass was a borderline fantasy player this season averaging 24 minutes, 10.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 0.4 blocks and 0.5 steals per game. Bass is an unrestricted free agent and it will be interesting to see where he ends up going. The situation will depend on how much of a fantasy impact he makes next season.
The Boston Celtics edged the New York Knicks on Friday, 96-92. Brandon Bass recorded a double-double in the contest. He scored 16 points on 4-of-7 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Add in 10 rebounds and Bass notched his fifth double-double this season.
Fantasy Impact
Bass has increased his production this month, averaging 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. When Bass has seen more playing time, he's seen increased production. The problem is that his playing time varies, which makes it difficult for fantasy owners to count on him.
Brandon Bass grabbed a career high 17 rebounds Sunday in a loss to the Magic while scoring 19 points (9-14 FG) with five assists in 38 minutes.
Fantasy Impact
Even with the return of Kelly Olynyk to the Celtics frontcourt, Brandon Bass is seeing the bulk load of minutes. He has been hot and in the last two weeks is averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds. While he could lose minutes if Olynyk starts to heat up for now Bass should be owned.
