Fantasy Impact
Podziemski got hot late with a stretch where he hit three shots from deep in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. He saw the start and took advantage of the opportunity. He has continued to see a boost since Golden State traded for Jimmy Butler.
Brandin Podziemski logged 30 minutes in Friday’s victory over Sacramento, finishing with 21 points (9-of-20 FG, 2-of-7 3PT, 1-of-1 FT), three rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Fantasy Impact
Podziemski has now recorded three 20-point games since returning from an abdominal injury that cost him 12 games earlier this season. Rostered in 64% of Yahoo leagues, he has provided top-100 fantasy value in both eight- and nine-category formats over the past month. His role remains steady even after Golden State’s acquisition of Jimmy Butler, as he has attempted at least nine shots in all five games since Butler joined the team. With his consistent production, he remains a solid fantasy option.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after Thursday’s win over the Rockets that he expects Brandin Podziemski to remain in the starting lineup.
Fantasy Impact
Podziemski scored 18 points over 39 minutes in the win over the Rockets. "We felt like it was the right time to do it," Kerr said. "I think Brandin has played so well the last couple weeks that I think he needs to be in that starting group now..." Hield should remain in his reserve role out of the break.
Brandin Podziemski scored 29 points (8-18 FG, 3-10 3P, 10-13 FT) with six rebounds, four assists, and a steal in the Warriors' 131-128 loss to the Jazz on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Podziemski was second on the team in scoring, behind only Steph Curry. It was a nice bounce-back after a quiet game against Orlando, but questions remain about his future playing time. He should get a decent amount of minutes per game given the Warriors' lack of depth after trading away so many players in a trade for Jimmy Butler, but Butler's presence will certainly take away some of the scoring potential from Pods.
Brandin Podziemski scored 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3PT, 2-2 FT) to go along with three rebounds, five assists and two steals in the Warriors 118-108 loss against the Lakers.
Fantasy Impact
Podziemski was one of seven players to score in double figures for Golden State. He led the way in the second unit in his second game back from injury. He'll look to keep it up on Tuesday against the Jazz.
