Blake Wesley scored 12 points (5-5 FG, 1-1 3PT, 1-3 FT) and dished out six assists in Wednesday's 140-114 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Fantasy Impact
Wesley played a bigger role on Wednesday in the absence of Tre Jones (ankle), and he did pretty well in that role. He scored 12 points on perfect efficiency from the field, and he was also able to dish out six assists in the process. He isn't a strong fantasy option right now, but he could carve out a bigger role for himself if he continues to play well.
Blake Wesley (knee) is a late scratch for San Antonio's matchup against the Orlando Magic.
Fantasy Impact
It was initially reported that Wesley would be available to make his return from injury on Friday, but the team changed that and made him a late scratch. It has nothing to do with his health; the team just needs more big men against Orlando. His health isn't much of a problem anymore and he should be able to return in the near future.
Blake Wesley (knee) is available to make his return in Friday's game against the Orlando Magic.
Fantasy Impact
Wesley has been out since October after tearing his MCL, but he will be available to make his return on Friday. The Spurs have been struggling this season, so his presence will help be a boost in their lineup. He will likely be on a minutes limit to start, but he could be a decent streaming option when fully ramped up.
The Spurs recalled rookie guard Blake Wesley on Thursday after his stint with the Austin Spurs.
Fantasy Impact
Wesley will be inactive on Thursday, but he could be active on Friday. He last played in late October before he injured his knee. His return doesn't impact the Spurs rotation for fantasy purposes.
The San Antonio Spurs have selected Blake Wesley with the No. 25 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Wesley is a standout star in the making at the guard position. He stands 6'5" with an NBA-ready body and jump shot. He’s agile, quick, and has the ability to penetrate into the lane, using his great burst and solid ball-handling abilities. The young guard has room for improvement on his playmaking but is a perfect fit alongside guard Dejounte Murray. Wesley has shades of Lonnie Walker in his game and should compete for a bench role from Day 1.
