Andrew Nicholson has been waived by the Blazers on Wednesday. Nicholson was sent over from Brooklyn in the Allen Crabbe deal but the team drafted Zach Collins and already has Jusuf Nurkic, Meyers Leonard, Noah Vonleh and Ed Davis.
Fantasy Impact
Nicholson will look to sign on with a team in need of a big man. He's not on the fantasy radar anyway.
Andrew Nicholson has been traded to the Blazers in exchange for G Allen Crabbe. Nicholson is expected to be waived to clear more cap space for the team.
Fantasy Impact
Crabbe benefits greatly with the move to the Nets who failed to sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and is looking at a potential starting job. Look at him late in drafts this season.
Andrew Nicholson has been traded to the Nets on Wednesday in exchange for Bojan Bogdannovic and Chris McCullough. The Nets will also receive a 2017 first-round pick along with Marcus Thornton. Nicholson could see minutes in Brooklyn especially if Brook Lopez is traded.
Fantasy Impact
Even if Brook Lopez is traded, Trevor Booker and Justin Hamilton would be worth a bench spot over Andrew Nicholson. Quincy Acy is also in town and will see minutes as well. Leave Nicholson on the wire.
Andrew Nicholson signs a 4-year $26 million contract with the Washington Wizards.
Fantasy Impact
The Wizards keep adding depth to an already solid starting five. After adding Ian Mahinmi and Trey Burke the Wizards add another with the signing of Nicholson. The added depth will help the Wizards tremendously but fantasy wise- Nicholson should be left alone.
Andrew Nicholson finished Tuesday's blowout win with 24 points, three rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes. Nicholson was a perfect 9-9 from the field, including 3-3 from three-point range. His only misses on the night came from the free-throw line, where he was only 3-6.
Fantasy Impact
The Nets weren't competitive in the game, allowing 73 points at the half and 139 for the game. Although Nicholson was the primary beneficiary of the Nets' shoddy defense, every Magic player reaped the spoils as eight Magic players were in double figures. Don't expect Nicholson to reach double figures Thursday when the Magic take on the Pacers in Indianapolis.
