Fantasy Impact
Thompson continues a steady stretch on both ends of the floor, finishing with at least 10 points and seven rebounds in four of the last five games. The 21-year-old has offered difference-making output on the floor off of the Houston bench, averaging 11.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game to go along with a usage rate of 16.8% so far this season.
Amen Thompson is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bulls.
Fantasy Impact
If Thompson is ruled out, Tari Eason and Reed Sheppard would likely be in line to see more minutes.
Amen Thompson scored 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 3P, 4-6 FT) with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in the Rockets' 111-103 win over the Clippers on Wednesday night.
Fantasy Impact
Thompson notched his second 18-point, 11 rebound double-double of the season against. His scoring has ticked upward as the month has gone on and his rebounding numbers have nearly doubled compared to last month. It's a great improvement and should get him in fantasy lineups with regularity.
Amen Thompson scored 8 points (4-4 FG, 0-2 FT) with 6 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block in the Rockets' 127-100 win over the Spurs on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Thompson might have left something to be desired in the scoring department, but he racked up stats elsewhere to form a nice all-round game for himself. The 2023 first round pick got off to a slow start to begin the season but has picked things up through three games in November, averaging 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. His blocks+steals have come up as well. Thompson may still find himself coming off of the bench, but he's showing that may very well be finding his footing.
Amen Thompson has struggled out of the gate to begin his second NBA season. He's scored more than 10 points just once through four games and has more than four rebounds just once as well.
Fantasy Impact
He's been less efficient from the floor this season, as well as seeing a general drop in his points per game, rebounds, and assists. Still, he's a young player who is developing and is more than capable of improving his game. It's important to remember some players may take time to really get acclimated and back into game shape and form, and Thompson could be going through that transition right now. It's still early on in the season and there is a lot of basketball left to be played.
