The Mavericks attempted to bring Jones back, but their signing of Naji Marshall made it clear they might not be able to bring him back. Jones stepped into a big role for Dallas last season on both ends of the floor and figures to maintain a similar role with the Clippers, especially with the departure of Paul George.
