Chris Paul totaled eight points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3PT, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in the Warriors’ 106-95 win over the Rockets.

Fantasy Impact:

Paul had 7.0 assists in the Nets’ win over the Rockets, marking his third consecutive game with more than five rebounds. He is off to a strong start with his new team, posting solid numbers across the board, even with his at times underwhelming scoring efforts. Although Paul’s elite facilitation skills could put him in a position to enter the starting rotation at some point this season, he could remain primarily a superior off-the-bench producer. As he becomes even more integrated into the system, it wouldn’t be crazy to think that he could improve to the point where he puts up some career-high marks in some categories, particularly assists, especially if the team began to be more offensive-minded in how they leveraged his skill set to maximize the team's scoring production. One case scenario is if the Warriors opted to play small, having Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney on the floor. With all that playmaking potential on the court, it could create even more opportunities for Paul to put up even more elite assist numbers, leading to bigger fantasy returns. In any case, Paul is a must-start asset in all formats. So far this season, he is averaging 31.6 minutes of playing time, 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, while shooting 34.3 percent from the floor and 0.0 percent from beyond the arc.
