Oklahoma City Thunder F Derrick Favors has opted into his player option for the 2022-23 season which is worth $10.2 million. (Shams Charania on twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Thunder will see Favors return for next season on his player option and hopefully it will mean he is able to remain on the court more consistently as he appeared in only 39 games this year. The big man is worth rostering so long as he stays healthy as the Thunder currently lack much depth to challenge him for the centre minutes. Thankfully for managers there is time before next season to make the decision on his draft stock as it is very possible that the team drafts a forward or centre to pair with the strong back court of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey.
