Red Sox pitcher Wyatt Miils has been shut down from throwing after being scratched from a scheduled live batting practice.
Fantasy Impact
Mills has suffered a couple of setbacks now after experiencing right elbow inflammation midway through spring training. Manager Alex Cora said he may only be shut down for a few days but Mills still faces a lengthy absence. The right-hander posted a 4.60 ERA between the Mariners and Royals across 27 appearances last season.
Wyatt Mills resumed throwing Monday, playing 60-65 feet of catch.
Fantasy Impact
Mills remains without a timetable to return, but he is showing progress. He was dealing with elbow inflammation last month. He likely won't be fantasy relevant when he is healthy.
Wyatt Mills allowed two runs on two hits in 1.2 innings pitched with two strikeouts and one walk in his appearance Monday against Baltimore.
Fantasy Impact
Mills inherited a runner on third base with one out when he entered the game in the eighth inning. That run scored when Mills forced Maikel Franco to ground out, but it was charged to Anthony Misiewicz. Mills then walked Ryan Mountcastle and served up a two-run home run to Freddy Galvis.
