Tony Barnette takes the loss in major league debut

Tony Barnette gave up three hits and two runs to take the loss in his first big league outing. Barnette struck out one and did not issue a walk.

Fantasy Impact

Barnette laid claim to one of the last roster spots at the end of spring, but he will have to do a lot better than what he exhibited Tuesday if he wants to stay with the big club. He did throw 12 of his 16 pitches for strikes, but obviously, the pitches were a little too hittable.
