The Athletics have optioned right-hander Ryan Cusick to Triple-A Las Vegas as part of their latest round of roster cuts.

Cusick, a former first-round pick, was added to Oakland’s 40-man roster in November after posting a 4.66 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 66:40 K:BB over 63.2 innings across three minor league levels in 2024. The 25-year-old spent most of last season at Double-A Midland and will now get his first extended look at Triple-A. While he has intriguing strikeout potential, control issues remain a concern. If he can improve his command, he could factor into the Athletics' bullpen later this season.
