The Giants have signed right-hander Nick Tropeano to a minor league deal and invited him to Spring Training. The pact includes a $1.1 million base salary with incentives that can raise the value to nearly $2 million.

Tropeano is a six-year MLB veteran with experience as both a starter and reliever. His big-league action came with the Astros, Angels, and Pirates, though he also spent time on the Yankees' and Mets' rosters.
