Mike Bolsinger lasted just 5 1/3 inning on Wednesday, his start shortened by four walks and four his. He limited the damage, though, allowing three runs despite the baserunners.
Fantasy Impact
The Bolsinger of 2015 seems to be gone, but he is not being set up to succeed as a Blue Jay. Perhaps the best thing for him right now could be a change of scenery.
Mike Bolsinger had a short and unmemorable start against the Rangers on Friday, lasting just 4 2/3 innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks. Bolsinger struck out three.
Fantasy Impact
Bolsinger is somehow managing a 5.75 ERA with a 1.87 WHIP. He's hittable and walks plenty of guys and is likely out of the rotation once J.A. Happ is healthy, but he's done a solid job with what's been asked of him. His fantasy value is low.
Mike Bolsinger was knocked around by the Braves on Monday night, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits, two walks and three hit batters over just 4 2/3 innings.
Fantasy Impact
Bolsinger has little fantasy value, and games like this are why. He has limited time to prove himself at this level while J.A. Happ and Francisco Liriano heal, and he's not exactly running with the job.
Mike Bolsinger tossed 5 2/3 innings of two-run balls on Tuesay night, making his first appearance in the majors since June 18th of last season. Bolsinger allowed three hits and four walks, striking out four.
Fantasy Impact
Bolsinger likely won enough trust for another start, which will be due on Sunday versus Seattle, but there has been suspicion that Aaron Sanchez might make that start.
Mike Bolsinger allowed nine hits, five earned runs, walked two, and struck out one in 2 2/3 innings Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. 44-of-73 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact
Bolsinger has failed to pitch six innings in any of his six starts this season. He had allowed a home run in every prior start, but chances are he would have served one up tonight if he was allowed to continue to pitch. On the season, he has a 6.83 ERA, 1.52 WHIP with 25 strikeouts in 27 2/3 innings. I can't imagine Bolsinger will be receiving too many more starts.
