The Mets have acquired outfielder Mark Payton from the Reds in exchange for cash. In a corresponding move, pitcher David Peterson was transferred to the 60-day IL.

Fantasy Impact

Payton has seen limited MLB action in his career, logging a .175 batting average through 40 at-bats. He’s looked good in the minors, though, slashing .281/.331/.446 with 13 RBI and four stolen bases through 35 games at Triple-A this year.
