The lefty specialist gets the starting nod out of the three-hole against Blue Jays southpaw Yusei Kikuchi on Friday. It's been an underwhelming start for the 31-year-old who is hitting .192 with two homers and a .712 OPS across 28 trips to the plate so far this season.

With the Twins having a few key outfielders on the IL, Garlick is set to get more playing time moving forward.

Kyle Garlick left Monday’s game with the Tigers with right rib inflammation. He was replaced in left field by Alex Kirilloff.
