Josh Lindblom will be removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster and is now set to hit waivers in hopes of being claimed by another ball club.
Fantasy Impact
Lindblom has had a rough 2021 season to say the least. In eight games, he's throwing 16.2 innings with a 9.72 ERA and 17 strikeouts. However, if he fixes his control issues (10 walks) he could prove valuable to a team in need of a reliever.
Brewers' RP/SP Josh Lindblom has been reinstated from the 10-day IL.
Fantasy Impact
Three weeks ago, Lindblom was diagnosed with right knee effusion, and was subsequently placed on the 10-day IL. After a successful rehab stint, the 33-year-old Purdue product has been reinstated and should be available for the Brewers going forward. Lindblom carries a 10.97 ERA and a 2.25 WHIP in 2021.
The Brewers placed Josh Lindblom (knee) on the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Lindblom was placed on the injured list with right knee effusion. He struggled mightily in his previous outing, surrendering eight runs on nine hits and three walks across three 2/3 innings. It's unclear when Lindblom will return to the mound. Corey Ray was recalled in a corresponding move.
Josh Lindblom allowed eight runs on nine hits and three walks across 3.2 innings against the Cubs on Friday. He struck out five.
Fantasy Impact
Lindblom entered in the first inning after starter Brett Anderson left with an injury. Lindblom ran into an onslaught of offense from the Cubs, allowing three home runs and all of his inherited runners to score. As a long reliever, Lindblom has an ugly 10.97 ERA and 2.25 WHIP across 10.2 innings. He may find himself in the rotation if Anderson is on the shelf with an injury.
Josh Lindblom (2-4) allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out two over two 1/3 innings in Friday's 9-1 Game 2 loss to the Cardinals. He earned his fourth loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact
Lindblom was removed from his start after tossing two 1/3 innings. He threw a total of 47 pitches, landing for 28 strikes. The right-hander has now allowed four runs in last 12 innings. Lindblom will finish 2020 with a 5.16 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB over 45 1/3 innings. The 33-year-old will look to compete for a rotation spot in 2021.
