Johan Santana

The Blue Jays have agreed to sign pitcher Johan Santana to a minor league contract. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012 due to various arm injuries and has had shoulder discomfort as recently as the Venezuelan Winter League where he was shut down.

A healthy Santana would certainly be worth a late flyer. Let him prove himself healthy and make the team before buying in.

The Minnesota Twins are planning on watching lefty Johan Santana on the mound this week. Santana used to pitch with the Twins during 2000-2007.

This is a comeback for a pitcher that has faced many injuries and surgeries during the last couple years. There is no value to Santana in fantasy leagues because of the many surgeries and uncertain future.
