This could just be to get him more work, but could also tell us about the Rangers plan on using him going forward. The Rangers have used a closer by committee, and while Barlow could be a part of that committee, he was removed as the sole closer before going to the IL. He has a 3.26 ERA and 6.82 K/9 in 2022.
