The Tigers placed Isaac Parades (hip) on the 10-day injured list.
Fantasy Impact
The move is being made retroactive to July 20th. The 22-year-old is dealing with some hip discomfort so Detroit wants to let him rest a bit.
Isaac Paredes, the Tigers No.4 overall prospect was called up from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday and is set to make his 2021 debut.
Fantasy Impact
Parades has virtually no real fantasy value in 2021. He doesn't hit for power, he doesn't steal bases, and he hits for decent contact. He does get on base well enough, as he has a .352 OBP in Triple-A this season. In redraft leagues, he is a wait and see kind of player. In dynasty leagues he could be worth a speculative add.
The Tigers are recalling prospect Isaac Parades from their alternate site.
Fantasy Impact
The club also called up top prospects Casey Mize and Tarik Skubal. Paredes isn't as highly regarded as the other two, but he could worth adding in deeper leagues. The 21-year-old hit .282/.368/.416 with 13 homers and five stolen bases in Double-A last season. A shortstop by trade, Parades is comfortable playing all over the infield.
