The Cubs signed Hernan Perez to a minor league deal with an invite to major league spring training.
Fantasy Impact
Perez has been on and off the fantasy radar for years as he's seen various levels of playing time with the Brewers. He hit 14 homers while stealing 13 bases in 458 plate appearances in 2017. He's a versatile fielder and could snag a utility role with the Cubs, but unless he receives regular playing time he won't be worth fantasy consideration.
Hernan Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to Colorado.
Fantasy Impact
Perez's path to playing time was largely blocked by the likes of Mike Moustakas and Keston Hiura, but he continues to serve a valuable bench role for Milwaukee. He finishes the regular season batting .228 with eight homers and 18 RBI in 232 at-bats.
Hernan Perez went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Marlins.
Fantasy Impact
Perez went deep in the second inning, and his RBI proved to be decisive, as the Brewers would win by just one run. Perez is batting .239 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 27 runs scored, and five steals in 2019.
Hernan Perez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Cubs.
Fantasy Impact
Perez went deep off Jose Quintana in the second to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead. This was Perez's sixth home run of the season. He's struggled to find a consistent spot in the lineup in 2019. He's batting .241 across 191 at-bats.
Hernan Perez went 1-for-4 as the Brewers fell to the Twins 7-5.
Fantasy Impact
After batting just .196 during the month of July, Perez has recorded a hit in three consecutive games to begin August. He’ll look to continue his modest hitting streak on Wednesday as the Brewers play host to the Twins.
