Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with a three-run double, to help supplant the Orioles Friday night by a score of 8-6.
Fantasy Impact
After Orioles starter Tyler Wilson loaded the bases in the fifth, Sizemore made him pay by launching a bases-clearing double to the left-center gap to give the Rays a 5-3 lead. The blast also ignited a 6-run fifth inning for the Rays, and was just the Rays second extra-base hit with the bases loaded since the beginning of June. Sizemore hasn't made a big impact this season, but he is hitting .270/.325/.324 for the month of September. He's best left on waivers.
Rays outfielder Grady Sizemore went 3 for 5 with a home run in a 9-6 victory over the Braves on Wednesday. Sizemore hit a solo shot off of Braves starter Matt Wisler in the sixth inning. He also added a double and scored two runs. Sizemore is hitting .246 on the season with six home runs and 19 RBI.
Fantasy Impact
Sizemore hasn't hit much lately but he seems to knock them out of the park when he does as that was his third home run in five games. Sizemore doesn't hold much value besides the fact he hits high in the order which makes him enticing in daily fantasy games.
Rays designated hitter Grady Sizemore has been optioned to Triple-A Durham to make room for Steven Souza, who is came off the disabled list on Monday. Sizemore, who it hitting .231 with two home runs and 13 RBI, will go to Durham to try and get more at-bats and a bigger workload.
Fantasy Impact
Sizemore has not done much since coming up and for the Rays this move makes a lot of sense. The Rays have a young crowded outfield and it was head scratching why Sizemore was on the roster, taking away playing opportunity from guys like Joey Butler and Steven Souza.
Grady Sizemore went 0-for-8 combined in the Rays double header against the Royals on Tuesday. He went 0 for 5 in the first game with three strikeouts and 0 for 3 in the second game before being replaced by Joey Butler.
Fantasy Impact
Sizemore has struggled as of late as his average has falling to .252 for the season. It's hard to see why he is getting playing time over Joey Butler. Butler has hit well since being called up in May and Sizemore continues to take time away from him.
Rays designated hitter Grady Sizemore was able to drive in two runs during Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Indians. Sizemore went 2 for 4 with two strikeouts during the game. Sizemore is 6 for 18 with one home run and four RBI in four games for the Rays this season.
Fantasy Impact
Sizemore has produced since signing with the Rays and gives the Rays some flexibility in resting their core outfield of Kevin Kiermaier, Joey Butler and Steven Souza. If he keeps hitting like he has then you will see him in the lineups a lot more often.
