Franmil Reyes leaves the yard Saturday against Giants

Franmil Reyes went 1-for-4 at the plate for the Royals Saturday, hitting a solo home run in a 6-5 win over the Giants.

Fantasy Impact

Reyes has gotten off to a poor start at the plate for the Royals, recording hits in just two of his first five games for the club. The 27-year-old has always flashed prodigious power at the plate for fantasy managers, but will need to provide more consistent at-bats to get near lineups in most formats.

Franmil Reyes cranks massive homer in loss

Franmil Reyes hit his first home run as a Royal and finished 1-for-4 in the process in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Blue Jays.

Fantasy Impact

Reyes is getting the chance to rejuvenate his career with a fresh opportunity in Kansas City. The veteran is off to a tough start, as he is just 1-for-10 so far, but like Tuesday, when he connects with the ball, he reminds everyone of what he is capable of. He has no minor league options remaining, so he will need to produce if he wants to stay on the main roster, but until he heats up, it will be hard to justify rostering him in any format. Keep him on the watchlist for now in case he can return to his slugging form from a couple of seasons ago.
