Coco Crisp

The Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics are close to a deal that would send OF Coco Crisp to the Indians.

Fantasy Impact

Though Crisp is up there in age he is still productive hitting .234 this year with 11 home runs, seven stolen bases, and 45 runs in 102 games this season. Crisp real value is on the defensive side where he is a superb fielder. If Crisp can bat leadoff regularly, which I do not think he will, then he adds tremendous value atop the Indians lineup. If not, he could be a great DFS play from game-to-game.

In a 6-2 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday, Coco Crisp went 1-for-4 (his only hit being a one-run home run) with one run batted in, one run scored and three strikeouts.

Crisp continues to be a fantasy player that gets extremely hot at the plate sometimes, but is usually ice cold most other times. He's not a viable option in standard leagues.

Coco Crisp could rejoin the A's lineup on Tuesday. He's been sidelined due to a neck injury.

Crisp has been out for a few days due to the issue, but he should be back soon, and it seems like he's clear of a DL stint which is good for the A's. Still, Crisp hasn't provided much fantasy value this season with a .689 OPS over 300 at-bats.
