Zimmermann underwent core muscle surgery on Oct. 19 and told Melewski that he is already in Florida working out and expects to be a full go for spring training. The 28-year-old southpaw pitched in just seven games with the Orioles in 2023, posting a 4.73 ERA in that time. He spent most of the season at Triple-A, tossing a 4.42 ERA across 21 outings, all of which were starts. He will compete for a left-handed bullpen role in the spring.

Unfortunately, Zimmermann can't be played anymore in fantasy for now. The 27-year-old will likely be scheduled to start versus the Nationals in Baltimore on June 21.
