The Yankees released Art Warren.
Fantasy Impact
Warren did not make it to the majors this season. He'll look to land in another situation.
Art Warren is starting a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Warren has had a rough year between injuries and performance. After a strong 2021, Warren was a sneaky source for saves. Instead, he has posted a 6.91 ERA with the Reds. He does have a 4.01 SIERA. There is a small chance Warren could have a fantasy impact upon returning.
Art Warren pitched 1/3 of an inning on Wednesday, allowing three hits for four earned runs as he went on to take the loss in the Reds' 7-4 fall to the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact
Warren has been one of the better pitchers for the Reds out of the bullpen this season but that was not the case as he saw his ERA rocket to 7.66 on the season and now carries a losing record of 2-3. The Reds reliever may need to be dropped as he has only three saves and is giving up a rather high 1.64 HR/9.
Cincinnati Reds RP Art Warren pitched zero innings on Sunday, walking one, and allowing three hits for four earned runs in the Reds' 6-4 loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Impact
Warren didn't even record an out on Sunday as he was pulled after giving up four runs in zero innings pitched technically. The Reds starting pitcher has an ERA of 7.27 with a record of 2-2 and he should be avoided in fantasy for the time being.
Cincinnati Reds RP Art Warren pitched 1 2/3 innings on Friday, striking out one, and allowing one hit for zero earned runs in the Reds' 5-1 win over the Giants.
Fantasy Impact
Warren should certainly not be rostered at the moment as he has a rather low amount of saves as he picked up just his third of the season Friday. The Reds reliever currently carries an ERA of 5.19 along with a WHIP of 1.38 and 16 strikeouts through 17 innings pitched, which is rather adequate but is ultimately not enough to prove worthy of a fantasy roster.
