Dodgers looking to trade Alex Guerrero

Dodgers are rumored to be shopping their utility man, Alex Guerrero. The Dodgers could use Guerrero as another trading piece to land more pitching.

Fantasy Impact

Guerrero becomes an interesting waiver claim if he is traded to a team that has an everyday spot for him to play. The power is there but he still poses question marks on the defensive side.

Alex Guerrero is the odd man out

It's pretty clear that Don Mattingly doesn't care for Alex Guerrero. Guerrero only has 23 at-bats in the last ten games and continues to ride the pine.

Fantasy Impact

Guerrero not getting playing time is more of an indictment on Mattingly rather than Guererro's performance. Apparently Mattingly doesn't care about advanced stats as Guererro carries a .394 wOBA, 155 wRC+ and a .336 ISO. If you're not playing in an NL only league or a 15+ team mixed league you can feel free to drop the talented Cuban.

Alexander Guerrero scores a run and an RBI

Alexander Guerrero got on base and with the Dodgers bats going off against De La Rosa, he quickly scored a run. He then came up to bat with Howie Kendrick on base and he scored him with a nice single to left which he turned into a double when the Diamondbacks attempted to get Kendrick at home.

Fantasy Impact

Guerrero continues to be an under appreciated hitter for the Dodgers. Batting a solid .287 he has been a valuable player for fantasy owners.

Alexander Guerrero gives the Dodgers hope in the 9th

Alexander Guerrero came up with one out in the 9th inning in a 1 - 3 Atlanta game and he delivered with a home run. It was a odd turn of things because the Dodgers last batter was the newly traded for Callaspo who hit a fly ball for the third out to close out the game. Would the Dodgers have won the game if Uribe would've never been traded & batted in Callaspo's spot? No one will ever know.

Fantasy Impact

Alexander Guerrero has been a revelation this year and has hit home runs in back to back games yet again. He is valuable in any fantasy format.

Alex Guerrero slams eighth home run, third as pinch hitter

Alex Guerrero's powerful season continued on Monday as he hit his eighth home run of the season as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth inning. Three of Guerrero's homers have come in pinch-hit appearances.

Fantasy Impact

The Dodgers can't find room for Guerrero in the regular starting lineup, but he's putting together a very impressive season as a part-time starter and bench bat. He is now batting .309 / .337 / .679 with 8 home runs, 20 RBI, and 14 runs scored in just 86 plate appearances.
