Mark Teixeira to retire

Mark Teixeira expected to announce his retirement later today, at 36, effective at the end of the season. (Buster Olney on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mark Teixeira played some of his best years in Texas but also had a great run with New York. Teixeira has loads of awards including three all-star games, five gold gloves, and three silver slugger awards. Tex ends his career with 404 home runs. 1,281 RBI, .261 batting average, and a .361 OBP. Mark will be a borderline hall of Famer. Congrats on a great career!
