Richie Shaffer gets promoted from Triple-A Durham

After hitting 19 home runs in only 282 plate appearances for Triple-A Durham last season, Shaffer, the former 1st round pick, has only hit eight home runs to go with a .227/.335/.351 line in 2016. He'll receive minimal playing time before the Rays activate Matt Duffy from his rehab assignment.
