Bryce Brentz expected to get promoted to Boston

Bryce Brentz was pulled from Triple-A Pawtucket's lineup Thursday and is expected to be promoted to Boston in time for Friday's game in Texas, the Boston Globe reports. The move to pull Brentz comes after Boston placed outfielder Chris Young on the disabled list Thursday due to a hamstring injury. (Boston Globe)
Fantasy Impact:
The Red Sox now have a big hole in left field with the injury to Chris Young. Brentz will more than likely share the position with Ryan LaMarre until players come off of the DL. Brentz is not a high-level prospect and is known for his power. But he has not shown it in Triple-A this year with only three home runs in 38 games. This should be a short-term call-up for Brentz and will not have a fantasy impact.
