Kris Medlen to resume throwing

Kris Medlen will resume a throwing program on Friday as the inflammation in his shoulder has gone down. He's been sidelined by the shoulder injury since his last start May 10. (Jeffrey Flanagan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
While he was an intriguing fantasy option entering the season considering his previous success and the defense he'd have behind him, Medlen got off to an ugly start prior to the injury. He posted an ERA and WHIP of 7.77 and 2.05. He currently has no time frame for return.
