Tim Adleman pitches well against Brewers, earns first major league win
by Justin Elick | Sat, May 7th 9:07am EDT
Adleman posted a solid start again for the Reds, allowing just one earned run over five innings of work. He gave up four hits, walked three, and struck out four in the Reds' 5-1 win over Milwaukee. Alex Presley took him yard in the 5th inning for the Brewers' only run. He has now pitched well in both starts since his call up.
Fantasy Impact:
With so much uncertainty in the Reds' rotation, Adleman will eventually be one of the odd men out. He is a player who should remain on the wire in your season long leagues at this time. He is worth a shot as a cheap pitcher in some daily leagues, but his ceiling is limited. The Reds welcome the Pirates to town next, and barring the unlikely return of either Homer Bailey or Anthony DeSclafani by that time, we should see Adleman draw another start Wednesday.
