Mason McCoy set for Triple-A El Paso start

Mason McCoy isn’t expected on the Padres’ Opening Day roster, per team updates, and will head to Triple-A El Paso despite a weekend 40-man addition. (AJ Cassavell)

The Padres have yet to announce any moves, but their 13-man position-player group is set.

Mason McCoy, Oscar Gonzalez, Connor Joe and Luis Campusano can be sent to the minors (through options/assignments).

Eguy Rosario and Tyler Wade are out of options. Their status is unclear.
