Zach Neto is progressing in his recovery from shoulder surgery in November. He’s participating in a throwing program and doing most of the team’s defensive drills, but he’s not yet throwing during the drills. (The Sporting Tribune)

Fantasy Impact:

Neto has shown no issues with throwing this spring, but there’s still more he needs to accomplish before being cleared for game action. He’s ahead of schedule and could join the team by April or May. Kevin Newman is expected to be the starting shortstop for the Los Angeles Angels until Neto returns.
