JoJo Romero (forearm) throws live BP

by Bruno Mulé | Cardinals Correspondent | Fri, Feb 21st 8:29am EST

JoJo Romero (forearm) threw a live batting practice session Wednesday, per John Denton of MLB.com. The left-hander ended the 2024 season on the injured list with forearm inflammation but started a throwing program in late October and is facing no limitations this spring.

Fantasy Impact:

Romero was a key setup man for the Cardinals last season, posting a 3.36 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 51:16 K:BB over 59 innings while recording 30 holds, seven wins, and one save. He should remain one of St. Louis’ top high-leverage options ahead of closer Ryan Helsley in 2025, making him a solid option in leagues that count holds.
