Patrick Corbin had another tough outing in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out only two over 4 1/3 innings. This performance is a continuation of Corbin's disappointing season, as evidenced by his inflated 5.92 ERA and 1.57 WHIP through 25 starts. His inability to suppress hits (.346 BABIP) and lackluster strikeout rate (6.6 K/9) remain major concerns for fantasy managers. Given these metrics and his poor win-loss record (2-12), Corbin's role as a viable fantasy starter is highly questionable. Managers should consider other options unless he shows significant improvement.
