With Yandy Diaz (personal) placed on the restricted list, Mead has been called back up to rejoin the Rays for the first time since early May. Across 94 plate appearances for the Rays earlier this season, the rookie posted a .218/.269/.276 slash line with one home run, two doubles, and five RBI.
