Cubs option reliever Daniel Palencia to Triple-A Iowa

Cubs also acquired minor-leaguer RHP Jesus Tinoco from Royals for cash considerations.

Tinoco, 29, has a 4.58 ERA in 57 career MLB games, including nine this year with Texas. He posted a 4.05 ERA w/KC (10 K, 1 BB in 6.2 IP).

Fantasy Impact:

Palencia joined the Cubs’ roster over the weekend for the team’s doubleheader with the Cardinals. He will remain a depth option in Triple-A.
