The Angels placed 2B Johnny Giavotella on the 15-day DL, retroactive to Friday, and recalled RHP Drew Rucinski from Triple-A Salt Lake. (Jeff Fletcher OCR on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Johnny Giavotella placed on the 15-day DL, but he was batting .210 over his last ten games. Look for Grant Green and Ryan Jackson to cover second base while he is out. He is not progressing well from his medical condition and there is not confirmation on if he will be back this season.
