Imanaga's pact with the Cubs is still contingent on a physical he is scheduled to undergo in Chicago on Thursday. The 30-year-old southpaw has been excellent over an eight-year career in his native Japan, putting up a 2.96 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 26.0 K% in more than 1,100 innings.
