Stammen broke into the league as a starter with the 2009 Washington Nationals but found success as a reliever beginning in the 2011 campaign. The righty hasn't appeared in the big leagues this season due to a shoulder injury and retires with a healthy 3.66 ERA across 562 career appearances.
