The San Francisco Giants' Ronald Guzman is attempting to become a two-way player this season. (Grant Brisbee on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Giants signed Guzman to a minor-league deal a couple of weeks back, but it was just recently released that he is attempting to become a pitcher as well. Guzman hit 30 home runs in 236 games across his first three MLB seasons but has seen just 23 big-league plate appearances over the past two seasons since. In addition to his natural position of first base, Guzman will attempt to become a southpaw pitcher but would need sizable minor-league seasoning to compete at both spots in the big leagues.
