Announced by the team Tuesday, the Reds have acquired Austin Romine from the Cardinals for cash considerations. (Cincinnati Reds on Twotter)

Romine is sent to Cincinnati right as the trade deadline neared. In 11 games this season for the Cardinals, the 33-year-old backstop batted .154.
