The Texas Rangers placed relief pitcher Joe Barlow on the 15-day IL with a blister on his right index finger Wednesday. (Rangers PR)
Fantasy Impact:
Just less than a week ago, Rangers manager Chris Woodward announced that Barlow was being removed from the closer role for the time being. Considering he has now landed on the IL, he can be dropped. Brett Martin is most likely to receive save chances going forward.
