According to Buster Olney of ESPN, Justin Verlander's two-year, $50 million deal with the Houston Astros got approved by the MLB. (Buster Olney on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Verlander officially re-signs and returns to the Astros on a two-year deal at 38-years of age. He pitched six innings in 2020 and missed the entire 2021 season with Tommy John surgery. It's smart to be skeptical with him for fantasy purposes, but the early Draft Champions ADP on NFBC has Verlander at pick 125. Depending on roster construction, Verlander could be worth the risk at that ADP.
