Angels light up Anthony Ranaudo

Desperate to find a fifth starter, the Rangers turned to Anthony Ranaudo for today's series finale with the Los Angeles Angels. Ranaudo, however, was not up to the task, as he gave up six earned runs in just 1.2 innings of work in the Angels 10-2 win. (source)
Fantasy Impact:
Ranaudo had been competing for the fifth spot in the rotation in the spring and was not that impressive, so it was somewhat surprising the Rangers called him up from Triple-A for this start. I would guess that he will be on the bus back to Round Rock very soon. Look for veteran Wandy Rodriguez or youngster Alex "Chi Chi" Gonzalez (who was very good in the spring) to get the next shot.
