Jason Kipnis agrees to deal with Braves

Veteran second baseman Jason Kipnis posted on his own social media account today that he has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Braves. Jon Heyman of the MLB Network has confirmed it is a minor league contract with an invitation to MLB camp during spring training. (Jason Kipnis via Twitter)

The 33-year-old infielder will likely provide depth for Atlanta as a utility infielder and a left-handed bat off the bench behind starter Ozzie Albies. Once a fantasy star, Kipnis can be ignored in fantasy leagues at this stage of his career.
