According to Ken Rosenthal, veteran reliever Brandon Kintzler agrees to a minor-league deal with the Phillies. Kintzler also turned down a deal with the Marlins to potentially earn more money. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
In 2020 with the Marlins, Brandon Kintzler totaled 12 saves with a 2.22 ERA, and 1.32 WHIP with a 13.9% strikeout rate and 10.9% walk rate. Yikes. Although he was solid with the Cubs in 2019, Kintzler isn't fantasy relevant as he likely ends up as a non-closer.
