Chase Whitley allows first earned run of the spring

Yankees pitcher, Chase Whitley, went one inning on Wednesday allowing his first earned run of the spring on two hits and added a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
Chase Whitley is making a strong case for a spot on the 25-man roster. He now owns a 0.82 ERA on the spring in 11 innings of work. He pitched reasonably well last summer while with the Yankees and is making himself a strong candidate for a spot in the bullpen, perhaps as the long reliever. If he is sent to Tripe-A Scranton, he is an option to be called up for a start when the need arises. As a long reliever, he will not have any fantasy value and will only hold value if he holds a rotation spot for a long period of time.
