Matt Wieters lands on the IL with toe contusion

Matt Wieters was placed on the 10-day IL with a left great toe contusion according to the Cardinals. (St. Louis Cardinals on Twitter)

Following last night’s game, we optioned RHP Nabil Crismatt to our Alternate Site.

Today, we activated C Yadier Molina from the Injured List and recalled RHP Jake Woodford from our Alternate Site.

Fantasy Impact:

Yadier Molina was activated from the IL in a subsequent move so the Cards will be fine without Wieters services. He really struggled in limited action this year, going hitless in 12 at-bats.
