Fernando Tatis Jr. homered with two outs in the ninth inning of Friday night's contest against the Rockies, sparking a four-run rally in the Padres' 8-7 victory at Coors Field.
Fantasy Impact:
Tatis Jr. came to the plate as the last hope in the ninth inning against Colorado's closer Wade Davis and pulled a 2-1 pitch over the left field wall to tie the game. The Padres continued to rally, taking the lead on Tommy Pham's three-run homer just a few batters later. This was the second time in the game that Tatis Jr. had tied the game as he had already evened the score at 4-4 with an RBI single in the seventh. He continues to be the catalyst for the surging Padres, batting .313 with two home runs, nine RBI, three steals, and seven runs. He's hit safely in five straight games.
